CONTEST RULES

To enter: contestants must enter by filling out the online Registration Form.

You must use a valid and unique email address when you submit your entry.

Contest is void where prohibited by law.

No purchase is necessary.

Contestants must be 13 years old or older. Due to the nature of the prize, only contestants 13 years old or older are eligible for the Grand Prize.

Only one entry per person allowed. Contestants found to have entered more than once, are automatically disqualified. Weekly winners can claim their prize at the KAIT-TV Studios, PO Box 790, 472 County Road 766, Jonesboro, AR 72401. Grand Prize Winner must show photo ID, proof of residence, and an United States Social Security card upon acceptance of prize. If the winner is unable to provide photo ID, proof of residence, and Social Security card, they are disqualified.

In order to be eligible for this contest, you must be a resident of the KAIT-TV viewing area, determined by either reception of the KAIT-TV broadcast signal at your residence, or the presence of the KAIT-TV channel on your local cable TV system. Contact us if you have any questions about eligibility.

Employees and their families of KAIT-TV , any sponsor and all subsidiaries and their advertising and promotional partners and agents are not eligible.

You may start making your selections within the contest on February 11, 2008.

Weekly Races: Each week before the race contestants login and pick 8 drivers, who will win the race, and how many lead changes there will be. Points are awarded depending on how well their drivers do that week (points awarded on how the drivers finished, the higher the driver finishes the more points awarded). Only the contestant's top 5 drivers generate points. Only 3 drivers can be switched out each week. If a contestant does not login and make changes to his team before a race, the team used in the race the week before will be used again. Additional bonus points are awarded for having five drivers finish in the top ten and for picking the winner of the race. If there is a tie, the number of lead changes is used as the tiebreaker (over or under the lead changes number is used when there is a tied number on both the over and the under. The under number is awarded the win). If there is a tie on lead changes without going over, a random drawing will be held to decide the weekly winner. Points are only given for the top 20 finishing drivers.

The official entry list for each weekly race is normally released on Tuesdays. The Race Day Challenge list of drivers will be updated by midnight on the Tuesday before each weekly race.

Scores and standings are updated after the official results are posted for each race. The official results are normally posted on Mondays around 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

If you do pre-register, you will be notified by email once selections for the first race are made available. You will then be able to login using you username and password to make your picks.

All picks for the weekly races must be received before the scheduled start of the race. At that time, picks for that race will be disabled. Please check the Race Schedule to verify start times.

Points for correct picks in the Weekly Races are as follows:

Odds of winning the contest are determined by the amount of online entries we receive in the time allocated. For the name of the winner(s), please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to KAIT-TV , Att: Region 8 Race Day Challenge , PO Box 790, 472 County Road 766, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

Prizes are as follows:
Weekly Prize Winners: Each weekly winner will receive one (1) Mark Martin T-shirt.
Grand Prize Contest Winner: One (1) winner will receive 4 Tickets for Daytona 2009, Hotel Accommodations and $1000 CASH!
Grand Prize Contest 2nd Place (Drawing): One (1) winner will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to Josie’s in Batesville, and a $50 Gift Certificate to Mark Martin Ford Museum gift shop!
Grand Prize Contest 3rd Place (Drawing): One (1) winner will receive a Mark Martin autographed die cast replica.

Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Contest rules, one (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize to be announced. Grand Prize Winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) and present a valid driver's license. If the Grand Prize Winner is not in possession of a valid driver's license or fails to sign and return the affidavit or release or to comply with any term or condition of these Contest rules, the Grand Prize winner will be disqualified and a substitute winner may, at Sponsor's discretion, be selected from among all remaining eligible Grand Prize Drawing Entries. Grand Prize winner will be solely responsible for payment of any taxes on the prize.

Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are non assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes.

Weekly Prize Winners: Once the official results are posted, and scores and standings have been updated, the leading player for that week will be named a 'Weekly Winner', as determined first by total points, tiebreaker, then random drawing if necessary.

Grand Prize Winner: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected by random drawing from a pool of players who have earned a 'Grand Prize Winner Drawing Entry'. Grand Prize Winner Drawing Entries are earned in 1 of 2 ways: (1) Be a Weekly Winner (2) Finish in the Top Ten in the overall season leaders. ONLY one (1) 'Grand Prize Winner Drawing Entry' will be awarded each eligible player. Only contestants 13 years of age or older are eligible for a 'Grand Prize Drawing Entry'.

Grand Prize Winner should expect to receive a tax form 1099 for the value of the prize as provided by current tax laws. Winner may be required to present legal photo identification, proof of address (if their address is different from the address shown on their photo identification), and a valid Social Security Card bearing the social security number provided at the time they qualified to win the prize before the prize may be awarded. KAIT-TV may, at it's discretion, require the winner to make an appointment to present their legal photo identification, proof of address and valid Social Security Card in person at the KAIT-TV business offices within five business days of notification.

Winners agree to waive, indemnify, and forever release any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they or their executors or estate may have against KAIT-TV, sponsors, the prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies arising out of or in connection with this giveaway and with acceptance and use of any prize received in the contest, including any and all liability for any injuries, accidents, misfortunes, or any cause that produces a hardship, perceived or otherwise, for prizewinners.

Winners' names and likenesses may be used for publicity purposes without further compensation. Winners may be required to complete and sign a KAIT-TV liability/publicity release form and an affidavit of eligibility before prize will be awarded. By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to give KAIT-TV and contest sponsors permission to reproduce their likeness, and any biographical information the winner may offer about themselves in any form. KAIT-TVand contest sponsors may utilize said information for promotional announcements, advertising, and other promotional tools in perpetuity. Furthermore, Winner may not grant interviews to any other media outlet about their participation in the KAIT-TV contest without prior written permission of KAIT-TV. Additionally, no prize may be used in any way that would be disparaging to KAIT-TV or contest sponsors.

By entering this online contest you agree that you have read all the rules and terms of use and will abide by them accordingly, including the decisions of the judges relative to this contest, whose decision will be final in all respects.

All entries are added to a database for later use. Entry also constitutes permission to have entry information shared with any sponsor of this contest.

All entries become the property of KAIT-TV and will not be returned. The sponsor(s) associated with this contest has the right to use data collected for marketing purposes.

All disputes will be resolved on an individual basis by arbitration in the state of Arkansas by the given laws of Arkansas .

KAIT-TV, CMK Media and any sponsor associated with this promotion are not responsible for problems with telephone lines and/or Internet connections in connection with this contest, or late, lost or misdirected entries or printing errors in the contest rules.

Official contest rules are available for public inspection during regular business hours weekdays (8 AM - 5 PM), except holidays or extended holiday weekends, at KAIT-TV Business Office, PO Box 790, 472 County Road 766, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
